EmerGeo Provides H1N1 Flu Outbreak Situational Awareness Tools

Vancouver, B.C., - May 7, 2009 – EmerGeo Solutions Worldwide Inc. (TSX-V: EMG), a leading provider of emergency management, environment health safety, and security software and consulting services, is pleased to announce that in response to the intensifying outbreak of Influenza A – H1N1 (Human Swine Flu) it is providing a free information service to the global emergency management community.

EmerGeo is publishing reported cases of the A – H1N1 in formats suitable for Google Earth and other mapping software.  Data is updated and compiled daily from the Public Health Agency of Canada, World Health Organization, and US Centers for Disease Control and is available to view or download in the following formats:

  1. Google Earth®*: http://access1.emergeo.com/FluDownloads/SwineFluPolygons.kmz
  2. ESRI ShapeFile: http://access1.emergeo.com/FluDownloads/SwineFluPolygons.zip
    (for import into GIS mapping systems including EmerGeo crisis management software)

    *Requires Google Earth installed on your machine (Version 5 is recommended).

EmerGeo Supporting Red River Flood Response.

Vancouver, B.C., - April 16, 2009 – EmerGeo Solutions Worldwide Inc. (TSX-V: EMG) (“EmerGeo” or the “Company”), a leading provider of Emergency Management, Environment Health Safety, and Security software and consulting services is pleased to announce that EmerGeo has secured a $400,000 contract with the Province of Manitoba Emergency Measures Organization to implement EmerGeo’s crisis management software solution. http://www.manitoba.ca.EmerGeo software is also installed in the North Dakota Department of Emergency Service’s Emergency Operation Center to support their flood fighting efforts. In situations like the natural disaster affecting both North Dakota and Manitoba, EmerGeo’s software and services are being used to save lives and protect property and the environment.

The Company also reports that it has granted 85,000 options to officers, employees or consultants at a price of $.50 cents per share, exercisable for a period of ten years from date of grant, in accordance with the terms of the company’s stock option plan.

EmerGeo was contacted just a few weeks before the Red River flooding began in Manitoba and within one week had deployed a technical response team onsite to implement the software and provide training and support services. The system is currently being used to help manage this disaster in the Province’s Emergency Coordination Centre (ECC) in Winnipeg.

EmerGeo Announces Strategic Partnership with INLINE Corporation.

(TSX-V: EMG) (“EmerGeo” or the “Company”), a leading provider of Emergency Management, Environment Health Safety, and Security software and consulting services is pleased to announce that it has entered into a strategic sales & marketing agreement with INLINE Corporation (http://www.INLINEcorp.com/) to market the world’s first Portable EOCTM (Emergency Operation Centre).  EmerGeo’s Portable EOC will be offered as a turnkey solution providing preconfigured EmerGeo Common Operating Picture (mCOPTM) software installed on the INLINE Modular Lightweight Portable (MLP) appliance.

EmerGeo Version 4 bundled with the INLINE MLP system is designed to offer a powerful, mobile, turnkey EOC appliance that provides a true server class device coupled with integrated wireless communications capability and high performance, modular data storage.

The ability to provide systems for today’s Crisis Incident Management (CIMS) in the field is no longer a nice to have – it is a requirement. EmerGeo Hires Seasoned Emergency Manager, Developers and Sales Staff

The Company is pleased to announce that it has hired Lance Stephenson as Director of Emergency Management Services, EmerGeo Software Solutions Middle East LLC (a foreign subsidiary of EmerGeo Solutions Worldwide Inc). Lance will be assigned to the company’s Abu Dhabi based office in February 2009.

Lance brings three decades of hands-on emergency management experience including clinical, managerial, training, leadership, communications, media relations, marketing, labor relations and fire suppression & response.  He spent 22 years with the City of Calgary EMS Department, ten years with STARS (Shock Trauma Air Rescue Society), four years as the Director of EMS for the State of Qatar and two years as the Task Force Leader with the federally mandated Canada Task Force 2 (http://www.cantf2.com/).  He was also a key player in the development of a Peacetime and Wartime Disaster Plan for the United States Military in the State of Qatar.  Lance also has a strong academic background with a Masters of Arts Degree in Leadership and Training, many professional diploma’s and several awards including the Canadian EMS Exemplary Medal of Canada and the Province of Alberta ‘Emergency Service Medal’.

EmerGeo is also pleased to announce that David Cross, has joined EmerGeo as Development Manager and he will be supported by two new developers: Michael Coyle     and Barry Bell.  Stephen MacGillivray     has also joined the sales team as Account Executive.

New Sales

Over the last quarter, the Company has secured over $700,000 in new software sales and services revenues from contracts with nuclear facilities including Bruce Power (Ontario), large oil and gas organizations such as Nexen and Syncrude, municipalities such as Bruce County, Provincial organizations such as Ornge (Ontario Air Ambulance), and Educational Institutions such as University of Windsor.

EmerGeo Version 4 has been very well received since its release and many existing customers are upgrading to the latest ESRI ArcGIS® based technology platform.

Alliances

EmerGeo and CAE Professional Services have signed a Teaming Agreement to globally market, integrate and implement the CAE C2-Sim suite of simulation tools and services that provide emergency management commanders and frontline responders with an integrated simulation-based common operating picture environment (see http://www.cae.com/en/public.safety/cae.c2sim.asp).
