Inside Sales

We are seeking a self-managed, Inside Sales Representative to sell EmerGeo software and related services to new accounts in North America. The successful candidate will initiate sales calls, perform product demonstrations and close software and service orders.  This role provides the successful candidate the opportunity to work from our Vancouver head office location and liaise with the sales and marketing team in generating new ideas designed to grow our North America client base.

The successful applicant must be able to work in a "team "environment, demonstrate strong initiative, have a common sense approach to business, be conscientious, entrepreneurial, and detail-oriented with strong sales and organizational skills.

The qualified candidate will report directly to the VP of Sales & Marketing and be given the opportunity for career advancement based on performance.

Responsibilities - North America

  • Sell EmerGeo Software and Services using a combination of direct telesales, web demonstrations, webinars, email, and other technologies.
  • Build relationships to provide repeat business and excellent customer service.
  • Act proactively to create opportunities for new business with existing customers.
  • Make cold calls to North American public and private sector companies to sell EmerGeo Software and Services.
  • Handle incoming sales calls and e-querys from sales prospects.
  • Provide Inside Sales support for EmerGeo marketing campaigns
  • Meet or exceed assigned sales goals.
  • Maintain complete and accurate records of all activities in Salesforce.com.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate from College or University
  • Software Industry background is mandatory, Emergency Management and GIS experience would be very beneficial
  • Prior Telemarketing and/or Inside sales experience is mandatory
  • Be aggressive, competitive and committed
  • Be highly motivated with a desire to be successful
  • Possess effective time management skills
  • Very high proficiency in MS Office including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Salesforce.com or similar CRM application experience
  • Manage multiple relationships well
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English with excellent writing and presentation skills is mandatory
  • International sales experience is also an advantage

We are seeking a self-managed, detail-oriented administrative professional to support the CEO and management team, as well as provide overall office management for our corporate head office. The successful applicant will be able to work in a "team" environment, demonstrate good initiative, common sense, conscientious, ambitious, and be detail-oriented with strong organizational and multi-tasking skills. 

Your duties include:

  • Organizing and managing the filing systems and mail
  • Executive assistant support for the President and CEO
  • Liaising with members of the senior management team; board of directors; and advisory board

Manager - EH&S Services

EmerGeo provides fully integrated situation awareness technology and services to help manage risk in emergency management, environment, health and safety, security and business resilience for industry and all levels of government. There is an immediate opening for a Manager - EH&S Services to join our rapidly growing company at our head office in downtown Vancouver. Major Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director – EH&S Services, the Manager – EH&S Services is responsible for coordinating and ensuring the timely delivery of professional OH&S consulting services for a wide variety of industrial and government clients.

The primary functions associated with this position include, but are not limited to,

  • providing a wide range of consulting services as required by individual clients, including, but not limited to OH&S programs and management systems (including fire safety, electrical safety, fall protection, contractor safety, confined space entry, health and safety committees)
  • providing/coordinating OH&S-related training programs for client firms
  • conducting field evaluations, including audits of client firms as required
  • planning, promoting, organizing, and directing job safety audits (JSA) and related activities
  • conducting workplace inspections to proactively identify and control hazards, preparing required documentation and ensuring follow up
  • recommending effective control measures to mitigate occupational health and safety issues
  • assisting in conducting accident investigations
  • participating in prospecting new business and developing service agreements for new OH&S-related business
  • participating in the development of OH&S-related technologies and products
  • assisting in the marketing of EmerGeo's full suite of products and services

Key qualifications

  • professional certification (CRSP) or eligibility for certification and evidence of significant progress towards completion
  • strong customer service, presentation and training skills
  • post-secondary degree preferred or equivalent training in Occupational Health & Safety
  • demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, conflict resolution skills and problem solving skills at all organizational levels gained through a minimum of 3 years' experience
  • experience using a variety of software packages, including word processing, spreadsheets and electronic mail
  • demonstrated knowledge of, and ability to interpret, applicable codes, standards, guidelines and government legislation, specifically the Worker's Compensation Act and regulations, fire safety regulations and building codes
  • good organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and meet strict deadlines
  • valid driver’s licence
  • ability and willingness to travel freely with no restrictions.

If you possess a thorough understanding of Geospatial data structures, data interoperability techniques, and the .NET framework for Windows desktop and web mapping application development, we would like to meet you.

Qualified candidates will have a strong GIS development background that includes experience with ESRI software products and open-source GIS technologies.
