Mike Morrow, President and CEO
EmerGeoMike brings over 19 years of experience in the design, implementation and marketing of emergency management and major event security planning systems in government and industry. He has managed more than 40 major crisis management systems development and implementation projects around the world, including security planning and response systems for the 2002 G8 Summit Meeting in Kananaskis and emergency management information system implementations for Western Australia, Washington State, the B.C. Provincial Emergency Program, the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company, Sempra Energy and dozens of local government jurisdictions.

Mike is a "hands-on" emergency management practitioner who has supported many emergency exercises and has worked alongside emergency responders during several major emergencies and special events in Canada, the USA and Australia. Mike has helped government and industry to effectively implement incident management systems, leveraging technology whenever practical.

Mike is an active member of several emergency management associations and a contributor to emergency management industry groups. Mike holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary (Alberta) and gained his technical training from IBM Canada as a Systems Engineer and Marketing Representative for some of IBM’s large oil and gas customers.


Tim Webb, Chief Technology Officer

EmerGeoTim has been involved in the design and development of software tools throughout his career. His broad experience has included design, development and implementation of database systems, simulation models, statistical estimation tools, expert systems, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) based software, and data exploration tools. For a number of years, while working with ESSA and Nobility Software Systems Inc., this work focused on the development of the Calyx family of software that uses an expert system combined with GIS to produce tools for environmental impact assessment and land management. Other software designed include systems for the environmental management of training ranges for the Australian and Canadian armed forces and an advanced database system for the tracking and management of environmental impact assessment reviews in Vietnam and Thailand.

Tim has coordinated a research project funded by the Canadian government that developed systems to assist in planning for disasters resulting from earthquakes, floods, landslides, and tornadoes. This collection of tools, was a hybrid of GIS, expert systems, and models and allowed the user to rapidly explore various scenarios and determine levels of damage to buildings and facilities, injuries and death, and numbers of people likely to require shelter. Tim has produced a number of similar spatial models (EM-Tools) that are integrated into the EmerGeo mapping application.

Tim is the Chief Technology Officer and lead developer of the EmerGeo system.

Tony M. Ricci, CA, Chief Financial Officer
EmerGeoMr. Ricci is a Chartered Accountant with over 20 years of practice experience, mainly with public companies listed on Canadian and US stock exchanges. Mr. Ricci is currently also CFO of Keegan Resources Inc. and was formerly a director and CFO of Norsemont Mining Inc. and Petaquilla Minerals Ltd. and Petaquilla Copper Ltd., companies with a combined market capitalization exceeding $700 million.

His expertise involves corporate finance, corporate structure and financial reporting. Mr. Ricci has also been involved as director or officer of numerous other public companies and acted as the founder of TSX listed Carmanah Technologies Corp.

Mr. Ricci previously worked at Amec (formerly H.A. Simons Ltd.) and KPMG. Mr. Ricci provides EmerGeo Solutions with extensive experience in the areas of corporate finance, acquisitions, financial reporting, corporate governance and accounting, and corporate structure advice.


Bryce Mitchell, Vice President of Sales and Marketing

EmerGeoBryce has over two decades of leadership experience in International Sales, Marketing and Operations in the software industry. Including, successful selling to Global 2000 accounts, Government Departments and Ministries; most recently to Financial, Government, Insurance, Manufacturing and Transportation verticals.

Prior to joining EmerGeo, Bryce held a successful role in Strategic Sales and Sales Operations, Asia Pacific Theatre, at Cisco Systems (Pte.) Inc. in Singapore and co-founder and Executive VP of Sales and Marketing at Securac Holdings, Inc. an international risk management software company. Earlier he was the Managing Director of International Operations at Knowledge Impact, Inc. in Boston, MA.

Bryce also has extensive public speaking experience at International Conferences and Forums throughout North America, China, Japan, India, Australia, Hong Kong, S.E. Asia and Europe.

Dean Monterey, Director - Emergency Management Services
EmerGeoDean has 30 years of practical international experience in emergency management as a responder, manager and senior business and government advisor. His years of experience are supplemented by an undergraduate degree and extensive courses in the emergency management field.

Dean has responded to numerous major public events and emergencies worldwide, including

  • 1988 Olympic Winter Games
  • 1989 Exxon Valdez oil spill
  • 1991 Gulf War - assisted the governments of Bahrain and Qatar in dealing with the world's largest oil spill
  • 1999 Kosovar refugee airlift crisis
  • 2003 British Columbia firestorm
  • 2006 BC Ferry, M.V. Queen of the North, which sank losing two lives


Dean has conducted Hazard, Risk and Vulnerability Assessments, developed emergency response and recovery plans and strategic program plans for hundreds of governments and private corporations.

Dean authored the Canadian National Incident Command System. This is the authorized and required curriculum for all wildfire agencies in Canada.


Roger Bresden (CRSP), Director – Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) Services

EmerGeoRoger brings 24 years of experience in health, safety, security and emergency management to EmerGeo. He is a Canadian Registered Safety Professional and a BC Forest Safety Council "Safe Companies" External Auditor, and he possesses significant industry, government and consulting experience in oil and gas, forestry, aviation, utilities, hospitality, and transportation.

Roger is also a registered member of the Canadian Society of Safety Engineers and the Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals (BCRSP).

Roger has previously directed the occupational health & safety, emergency management, training and security programs at a large industrial facility for a multi-national energy corporation. He has directed the health, safety and emergency management portfolio for a large regional district in the province of British Columbia. He has previously held executive positions in the H&S services areas of 3 Canadian risk management consulting firms, as well as having successfully managed his own consulting practice, offering a wide variety of risk management products and services.

Roger directs EmerGeo's environment, health and safety consulting practice, bringing innovative EH&S-related products and services to EmerGeo clients.


Barclay Hunter, Director - Knowledge Solutions

EmerGeoBarclay brings over 18 years of experience in the information technology industry in senior management roles and has a proven track record of providing Internet strategies and solutions to national and international companies. During the past 12 years, Barclay has been a pioneer in the development and implementation of corporate e-learning, performance support and knowledge management solutions.

As an innovator, Barclay has particular strengths in the identification and execution of strategic opportunities. Barclay has a history of conceptualizing and delivering successful large-scale projects. This experience includes the development of nationally recognized training initiatives for several of Canada’s industry associations including the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers (CAPP), the Canadian Petroleum Products Institute, and the Canadian Chemical Producers Association (CCPA).

Barclay co-founded a company and was instrumental in establishing one of Canada's premier e-learning providers. This company delivered key health, safety and emergency management training to over 1400 organizations across Canada. These organizations included government agencies, emergency response organizations, industry associations, educational institutions, and many of Canada's largest companies.

As the Director of Knowledge Solutions for EmerGeo, Barclay oversees the development and implementation of programs focused on delivering knowledge and performance support to the EmerGeo team and, most importantly, its customers.
